Absolutely. Between topping the boat off and then filling my Land Rover up I'm out $100 for a day on the lake.

Filling my Durango costs me $65 now, and I do that twice a week or more!! Haven't filled the boat yet this year but going to guesstimate that will run me about $75 a fill. I am glad mine just sips the gas vs. some of the gas hog boats MC makes

If we go local, I can wear myself out for under 10 gallons. Going to the river, I can burn near 30 gallons in 2 outings.

Thirty gallon tank at $2.89 for 89 octane today. That's about 86 to filler up. I'm thinking it's cheaper to tow her to the ramp on the river than to boat over there.

Dam naye broke me to fill up the lawnmower!!!

I'm not bit*hing about prices though. Gas is really cheap. A gallon of water is about the same as gas. Water.

I'm much more careful now to not let the fuel gush out of the filler on the 197 at these prices

a former porn film actor, tedd lost his job at the local service station when he kept taking the nozzle out of the car & pumping the last bit onto the back of customers cars!

Haven't seen any cheap gas prices around here. Filled up the truck today @3.15 per gallon. You can find it for about 3.05 if you look hard enough.

My Jeep Rubicon takes around 15 gallons to fill and gets 15.5 mpg. That's close to 45 bucks a tank for 230 miles a week. So I pulled my Miata out of the garage for the 30 mpg. Of course, to get it running again, I bought:

new battery
new spark plug wires
new tonneau (sp?) cover
new exhaust manifold
new muffler
new shocks
All this to the tune of ~$1500.

I should have stuck with the jeep.

One month ago $2.20, today $2.85? I know the wholesale price of oil and unleaded gas have been going up, but damn. My wacky mind thinks it's rigged. Anybody see the inverted graph of gas prices and Bush's job approval rating? Very similar lines.

now if only my shares of Harken were each worth as much as a gallon of gas.

Dang, looks like it used to be an $80 stock. At least it's up 100% in the last year. Threadjack over....

What's next $100/barrel of oil and $5/gallon or $60/barrel and $2.50/gallon?

I guess you have to pay to play. I spent 140 bucks on fule Sunday and it was empty Sunday afternoon. The barefoot boats just suck gas. From the numbers on the gps its under 2 mpg. LOL. Guess we are all paying for the retirement package for the ex ceo of exxon. :uglyhamme

If my calculations are correct I just filled up my car for 3.91 per US gallon. I put in 70 litres and it cost me $80.00CAD for mid grade. Heres how I converted it.

70 litres x .26 convert litres to US Gallons = 18.2 US Gallons
80 CAD x .89 convert CAD to USD = 71.20 USD
71.20 / 18.2 = 3.91 USD per US Gallon

Sounds to me like you guys in the US have much better gas prices.....

That is because the US govt is only charging 18-19 cents per gal. tax on gas, and more then likely you are paying a lot higher tax per gal. to fund your govt. We pay that tax as well but it comes in the form of property, sales, state, fed, etc., taxes.

Also, I pay for my own health care which is not bought by US govt. I pay for insurance where the CAD govt pays your way if I understand correctly.

$115 to fill the truck (that's about 2 weekends of pulling to the lake and back)
$122 per weekend in the boat.

This summer is going to hurt. Have to make some sacrifices somewhere else.

i'm using LPG now.......no difference in power at all.......much easier as well for me as we have an on-site re-fueller and i dont have to pull the boat........its cut my fuel bill by more than a half......

Our gas prices dropped last night from $2.87 to $2.74. Everytime "W" talks about investigating the oil cos. for price gouging, the price drops here like a rock, plus according to CNFN the price of oil has dropped a few $ this week!

3.44 for regular down the street from me and 3.59 for midgrade for the boat. Never would have thought I would be excited to see those prices...guess I am just glad it is sliding down!

Guess W had a bit more pull than little o and his latest charade with the oil tycoons!

$3.77 is the low for my area in N. Cal. $3.95 is around the highest. Beats when it was almost $4.50.
