Hi Everybody,
I recently bought a '93 stars and stripes with LT-1 and was curious if anybody knows what the boat cost when new?
Thanks,
Chucker

I can't remember where I read this or if it's accurate for that matter, but I want to say that the S&S option was about $700 on top of everything else. LT-1 was an option in 93 so that will bump the price a bit. G-Man will probably be able to give you a good idea as he bought one new in 93 (but without the LT1).

They've done one every 5 years since 93, so I can't imagine that 2008 will be any different. But if the trend from 03 holds, there'll only be 40 of 'em. Good luck, and bring your wallet! :o

According to this thread, (http://www.tmcowners.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=6562&page=2&pp=40) around $24,500 in Texas. S&S was between a $600-$700 option. So add whatever the LT-1 was in 93 to $24.5K and you'll have a good idea on it.

In 88 there was a special edition Black hull with Platnum metalflake and teal pinstripe. In 83 I think there was a another vesion of a platnum 190 with maroon metalflake pinstripe. I'm sure someone can correct me if I'm mistaken. Your pricing in 93 looks about right. What color S&S with the lt-1?

It is the white with the blue metalflake through the middle of the boat. I am getting a coat of wax on her today so hopefully will be putting her in the water soon, will post pics soon.

Mine was similarly equipped - no heater. Bought new at the 1996 boat show for $23k.

Wow! Out here Hern (my favorite place  ) marks all theirs up above retail! I guarantee you that same boat they wouldn't take less than $36500 for

Shoot, and Ric has the MCX, tower, and perfect pass. Heck of a deal. Just seems weird that you see so many 04s for low 30s when you could get a new one for less.

Jrandol I'm still relatively new to this site, but why doesn't someone do something about the lack of representation of a strong dealer in the tristate area? A lot of boats in this area for Mastercraft to be missing out on.

You got me. I am not in the loop or "know" as they say. Not saying they are all bad as Mag Red seems fairly pleased with the outcome of his 209 purchase there. Just know my experience has been less than up to snuff.

I know there are over 115 comp ski boats on our lake. Of the newer boats I have only seen 1 Mastercraft (x-7) and a TON of Malibus.

I don't have any personal expierence with them either, just know several folks that have and it hasn't been very positive....Know of several folks that have gone directly to Mastercraft (for suggestions on other dealerships) or outside of the area to purchase. I do here that Mid Ohio has a nice set up though. Not that far off for me if I need something, or if I decide to buy new in the future I guess...

All I know is I'll drive to Indy (closer than Columbus for me) and have mine serviced and Pinecrest. I'll never step foot back into Hern. When I buy new if we still live in this area I'll do biz with Mike @ Mastercraft of Charlotte

I'd bring my little man into negotiations with me, but I'm afraid he'd pee on the vinyl and I'd have to buy it for MSRP. :o

A very artful one, too. But I took the time, did a search, and got a pretty darn good, precise answer to his question, so I regret nothing.

I would have to train my little dude to burst into tears on cue so I could get him to do that when they showed me that little piece of paper with their offer on it.

"ETS, I think you'll find this offer more than fair."

/pinches baby

"I dunno about that, Roy. Why don't you go back to your manager and tell him he made my baby cry with that offer. If you do me like that on the trade in, he might just cook up a little present for you to hang from the rear view mirror. I assure you it won't smell like a Christmas Tree."

All's fair in love, war, and buying cars. I feel as though I've had worse done to me in past car deals (but not my most recent ones). For me, this is the tip of the iceberg. :D

Even without the kid, somebody's gonna cry.
