View Full Version : MC in need!

This MC is parked across the street from my son's school. The ex-husband dropped it off at the ex-wife's house about 4 months ago! And it is sitting under an oak tree just dying, the cover is half off and ripped! Divorce, such a pitty some people just don't know what they have! I keep asking if they are selling it with no answer! :(

Is that a mid 80s (windshield looks triangular). Or is it a 93 with a Saf-T top?

I'm guessing 83-85.

Yeah, in that sized picture, the trailer looks newer. But I think I can see the bar now.

I would have to go with the 80's, sorry the picture is a little rough! The wife could care less, I asked and she had no clue!

The bow looks awfully flat to be a 93 to me.

I'm guessing he didn't drop if off for storage, and I'm guessing she didn't ask for it in the separation for its usability or cash value ... the guy probably put some work into it, and now she is going to enjoy watching it deteriorate .. just a guess.

A letter from the "homeowner's association" telling her it's against the rules and they'll be sending someone to haul it away for a nominal fee seems to be in order.

/off to get an official looking homeowner's association sign for the side of the tow vehicle with the MC sticker on the back. :D

Usually in a situation such as that, if you explain how mad it would make her husband to sell his boat really cheap, she might do it just to pi$$ him off!

OH now Why wouldnt she want to sell it?? that dont make sense....

Use the Bill and Ted method to plant the selling seed. Give her a call as "Deputy Van Halen", stating that you are the local blight officer for the area and that eyesore of a boat has gotten several complaints sent to your desk. Tell her that she must either have the boat put into a "decent, and respectible" condition so its not a eyesore, or she must vacate the boat from the property....

Then I would use the Fletch routine to buy it. KNock on her door as Ted Nugent, the friendly wrecker driver. Tell her you got a call from Deputy Van Halen stating there was an unsightly boat that MAY need removal and that you were supposed to give him a qoute on removing it. Then tell her that your actually in the market for a boat, and was wondering if you could buy it. But you needed a "fixer upper" as you really cant afford an expensive boat because your ex wife is taking you to the cleaners in a divorce(this will make her feel good). That way it would solve her problem, and get you a deal on the boat....

You could also be

Fletch F. Fletch
Irwin M Fletcher
Dr. Rosenfetus
Bille Jean King
Egor Stravinski

So did you get a look at the condition, or just the HIN?

Depending on how long it's been sitting out there, it probably just needs a good cleaning out.

Divorce can really screw things up with respect to money. Nobody thinks it will be about the $$ until it happens, then it's ALL about $$.

Yea, it looks pretty dirty! The cover is completely sunk into the boat, and the tires are flat! It is taking a beating out there. And to make it worse it had been stored in a garage all the time before the divorce! And I guess the husband bought a plane that took the place of the MC!

I know about the exporting deal, when I was selling my "82" SN I had more calls from other countries than here! And I would snatch it up but when my I mentioned it my wife had the look like boat comes home and I won't have one! The next thing you know my we would be going through the same thing!

Knock down the denomination on those bills and put it in a briefcase. With cash, volume can sometimes overcome the intended recipient's capabilities to reason.

Nope. Just me. I've got an old friend who is getting his PhD at the University of London. So free place to stay and a built in tour guide. I've never been abroad, and my wife has spent plenty of time in Europe. So she said go have a good time and she'll keep an eye on my little buddy. Love that woman!

I've been checking all the seat cushions to get the cash together to make this trip.

Ok, here's the scoop! My son's teacher saw the husband over looking at his boat, She told him I was interested in buying the boat. He said NO! And said he had many people wanting to buy it, but it is a classic and wanted to keep it! I would have rather had him not even it was a classic because now I know he is a complete idiot! Fighting with the wife is bad enough, but knowingly letting a as he said "classic" sit out there and fall apart makes me mad! And to act like it is imposing on him to ask about buying it! Scumball to be nice!

Time to steal it!! Doug break out the bail, it is for a good cause!! :D
