Is that the Quik Trip on Gilbert?

My brother lives on Jefferson St. They had a huge pine tree fall on the house.
His car was also parked in a row of trees. The tree behind the one his car was parked under fell. The one his car was under was fine.

My Dad spent most of the night in IC as a volunteer firefighter from Oxford.

Glad everyone is OK. Sounds like there were no fatalities in IC.

is that blue car unscathed?

looks like someone probably drove it onto the scene after the fact, but there's debris in front & back.

and that little black cargo trailer was in the same spot before the storm???

The car was parked there before the storm! It's my brother's car. He hasn't had a chance to survey the damage to it yet.

That is also where the trailer was parked! It moved slightly off the block of wood supporting the tongue, that's it!

Tornadoes do some pretty crazy stuff. From the pictures of Nashville this past week, you would have one house with a little damage in between 2 houses that had nothing left but the foundation. Crazy!

This car did not make it out unscathed!

am i lucky or what?? drove back from florida and arrived last night apprx. 30 minutes before tornado(s) hit. one passed approx 500 yds south of our house. knew it was close when we could look outside and see debris falling from the sky not to mention incredibly strong horizontal winds. most of debris was insulation which is consistent with all the damage to the area. having grown up an fla and dealing with hurricanes, i'll take the hurricane any day. we went from storm warning to tornado sirens in 30 minutes - not much time to react. can't believe conditions went downhill so quick. hope this not indicative of things to come this summer.

We all stood outside by quadrangle and watched it ofrm and then move towards downtown we couldn't see past hillcrest to see it touch down, so it wasn't till later that we had the chance to walk down and survey the damage.

It was intense.
