I see alot of LED trailer lights on the market, and other LED lights, but I dont see any bow lights using LEDs for bulbs. Does anyone here change their bulbs to LED bulbs? any pros and cons?

I am also thinking about going to LED trailer tail lights.....

really almost never use my navigation lights... hardly ever out after dark with the MC. Probably because skiing is only permitted till 30 minutes after sunset

I have seen L.E.D. for the trailer.....big pro is they do not shatter or short out when submerged in water, and they last for years. Much brighter and easier to see at night especially when towing in bad weather / fog etc. About $20-30 per oval at most trailer stores. Overtons has the stern light in l.e.d. format but I have not yet seen the bow lights.

Longer life, brighter and uses less power!

UMP, AW Direct [www.awdirect.com] Towing Accessories has every kind of 12v LED light avail for any lighting application. They are suppliers to the wrecker/towing industry or check at local Tractor/Trailer Service/New/Parts Store.

MC now installs as std, LED Bow Lights, they are smaller than the older ones, but there is a trick I know. The old screw holes are wider apart than the base of the new light! Just put an LED Bow light on the '89. When I cut on the navigation light switch it lite up the whole garage door in red/green, not just a 4' dia. area.
If you get a bow light, PM me your name and address and I'll send you something to help do it with, takes 15 min. to switch out! Go ahead, do it now super hero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as I know 2006, did not see them on the new boats @ the factory in 2005, may have not been paying that much attention, but 5 weeks ago during our visit to Vonore all the new 2006 has LED bow lights. They are the same LED Bow Light [Innovative Lighting Inc.] that is on page 582, West Marine Catalogue, top of page, LED 2 Mile Deck Mount, model#5358650, Innov#550-1200-7, $59.99+tax+shipping

I put LED's on my trailer (just the rear brake lights so far). They rock! I got mine at vehiclelight.com. I was tired of having one side or the other failing about once a year. Working great after about a dozen launchings.
