Just bought a '76 S&S. Is there a specific source for materials and specs regarding this rebuilding project? All assistance and any pointers will be appreciated. Thanks, Ian http://i17.ebayimg.com/02/i/06/a0/ea/6d_1.JPG

Welcome, irapm. Please check out the FAQ link in my signature. Some of the things, i.e., the PCM manual and links to various part sources might be helpful. Please take lots of pictures of your restoration along the way.

Congratulations on your purchase. You have a lot of work ahead of you, but it will be worth it. There are a number of people on here who have done stringer hull up rebuilds including replacing the stringers. Do some searches and should show up.

There is another 76 on ebay now that you may want to look at for a parts boat. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1976-MasterCraft-Ski-Boat-Ford-with-Trailer-waterski_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ63686QQitemZ46 28401221QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

I like the looks of the narrow hull stars and strips and wouldnt mind rebuilding one myself someday.

Is this the saltwater boat that was up for bid on ebay with the removed alledged 350 LT1 engine?
