I sold my 2000 x-star (X-1 hull type) and purchased a new X-star. i used to barefoot off the boom on my old X-star, can i use my old boom on the new x-star?
Has anyone tried to barefoot on a boom on a new x-star?
Is there too much splash coming out the side?

I too have footed off the old xstar and it was pretty nice. As far as the new one, I haven't tried it, however, I have to imagine that your boom will sit considerably higher off the side, as the boat in general stands a good bit taller in the water.
I'll be curious to see what turns up here for you.

Yea you can barefoot off the new ones on a boom. Spray is not bad at all. However your boom will be much higher. If you want to lower the boom look at the pic. I have an boom height adjustment thing I got from Barefoot Int. I cut it and made it a little longer. Mine points down but you could use it upright. I think they still sell these and you donít have to modify/cut it like I did to get the results your looking for.
Have fun in your new boat this summer!! :toast:
