Thanks guys! Andre, not sure on the seat. Need to get my wife (who's barely on board on the whole ATV thing) to a dealer and have her check a seat out.

We have 2 Polaris Quads and they have been great

same here, but no independent suspension.....

you should be very pleased, I've had a Trail Boss 2x4 since 01 and a magnum 4x4 since 04.
The trail boss is the only one I've had any work done to, but that's because I drag an 8 foot railroad iron around the ballfields.... front sprocket= twice

shaft drive magnum has been a hoss, front winch has been invaluable!!!!!

and yes, I do abuse my 4-wheelers:o
or actually, I use them for other than they were intended for....constitutes abuse in my book

Yup, gotta get a winch for sure. Glad to hear good things about the Polaris, cause for sure I know nothing about these things. Just kept hearing more and more about how dependable they were. :headbang:

I had a 2001 Sportsman 500 and had great luck with it. Luckily I sold it to a guy I know so I can borrow it on occasion. Enjoy the new wheeler!

Yes, they are great machines, 99 Magnum 500 (wifes) and I have 02 Sportsman 700, They will go though anything and take a lot of abuse!!

We finally pulled the trigger on a pair of quads ourselves. We went the used route. A pair of Arctic Cats in great shape, lots of accessories, low hours & well maintained. These things are a riot!

Airjunky,

Great rims and tires on the green one!! Good tires will get you though everything!
Don't be afraid to get them dirty!!

My girlfriend's father just bought a Polaris Ranger, but he had tracks put on instead of tires. That thing is ridiculous, it just lumbers through any obstacle you put in front of it. Although, the bracket design is crappy and we had a screw pop out an flip one of the rear tracks upside down. :steering:

Thanks to all who are buying Polaris! The company I work for makes a ton of their drive train components. It's about 40% of our business.

Nice work..
I figured the sticker shock would get you when you added all that 2006 equipment together.

Yea, sticker shock on new toys is something else. With the used quads, we ended up getting a pile of add-ons for less money........ big bumpers & Warn 2500 lb winches on both rigs, $1000 rims & tires, plus the EPI clutch on mine, and a gear bag. I bought the trailer from a local dealer. It's steel, but we don't have the salt on the roads here to cause problems.
It's a nice setup, tows easy, fits in the garage, easy to work on, clean up, a breeze to load the quads on & off the trailer, etc.
We went riding yesterday afternoon at an ORV park near the house... and above the lake. It's about time to get the boat out!
