OK, lets try a poll here. and this one I dont wanna hear no **** about! I think its a good one. Topic: Used ski brands. I notice on ebay and the used market that there seems to be more Obrien skis available than other brands. I was curious about this. Does Obrien sell that much more than all the other ski mfgs?? or do more peeople sell their obrien stuff?? whats the deal?? THIS IS A MULTIPLE OPTION POLL. so you can select more than one brand. and I am NOT going to include an UMP option on this poll this time to confuse you all.

and I know I am gonna forget something, so I will include "OTHER" for the last option. and I apologize for forgetting. :o

so vote, and discuss!!!

I'm curious as to why you would lump Kidder and KD together. Top of the line Kidder (Redline) isn't comparable to top of the line KD.

Given, each brand was started by Denny Kidder. But so was D3.

I guess that was a mistake. I guess I didnt really know what happened there.... I thought it was a name change thing, but the still same guy just marketing skis under a new name..... ooops.... :o

Before KD was bought out I think that they bought Kidder. ICBW.

Use my HO mostly, but have an old kidder and a set of Connellys for kids to try skiing out.

I forgot to add Other for my vintage Maherajahs.

Other than thoose all I have ever had were Obriens, well except for my MasterCraft.

I wondered who has the greatest market share?

thats what I wanna know too Crash. :toast:

I was just curious what the reason there seemed to be more Obrien stuff on ebay vs other brands. Lots of HO stuff too. but over the last 6 months, its seems like theres more obrien stuff on ebay. Then connelly next, and then kidder. Just from my observation, no scientific data to support this.

I wonder who sells the most skis?? If I had to guess, it would be obrien or HO. :twocents:

I too would guess O'brien, they appear to have a greater market share based on availability and store space (i.e. you can get O'brien anywhere from Sportmart to Kmart to marinas) and I believe they've been around the longest.

I'm looking to buy a 59" JR slalom ski and O'brien is the only mfg. That will be my families 1st O'brien.
