Ok on my X1 I have two rear hard tanks and one "Fat Sack" in the "ski compartment" Question is what good does the center one do? I heard using it will reduce the wake or smooth it out.

Use it to change the size and shape of your wake. too much rear weight will give you a steep, rampy wake. you can add weight to the front or center to make it the way you want.

no it does not reduce the wake, it simply changes it.
More weight will never reduce the wake size. Weight in the front makes the wake more "rampy" and weight in the rear makes the wake more "vert". You can have to much of either...to much vert and it is like hitting a curb and you end up punching through the wake instead of riding up it. To much ramp and there is no lip on the wake to release the board and you do not get height.

I even put extra weight in my bow. I find it hardens the wake, keeps it cleaner, and still has that incredible MC shape that I bought the boat for.
Bow weight also helps give the surf wake extra pocket length. With only rear weight, it makes it a very short pocket.

On my 05 X-2 when I fill all of them, the wake is more rampy(shoots you up and out) and it's easier to land in the flats. With just the rear tanks filled it gives a steep wake that shoots you up, somewhat resembling a Nautique wake.

You tell me. It will be cold this weekend, around 68 air, but I'll go anytime you want. I keep my boat at Marine Supply, and the forklift pad is out of commission this week, they told me that they might have it done by this weekend. You know, I had no idea you and I had already met. You remember the pole barn party I was playing at don't you? I cant wait to see Billy ride, it should be enjoyable.....
