Ugh, you're making me want to go get mine right now. It's been at the dealer for almost a month now but I don't see the point in getting it just so it can sit in my driveway (I know, I can still sit in it and dream, but then I'm paying for it).

Thats looks great!!! I really do like the new graphics pachage this year. You just made me feel even more anxious to get my new X-2. It has been on order and it will be here at the end of the month and I cannot wait. Black hull, black deck, and white tail, red trim and decals.
Enjoy it, and post some pics once you get it in the water.

Went and drooled over mine during lunch. Here are some low quality pics. The dealer has not installed all of the tower goodies yet, but there are board racks and 4 tower speakers going up there

I still have another 3+ weeks before my x-30 is finished. Seeing yours is really making the days pass slowly. ;)
Great looking boat!
Just curious, does anyone apply teak oil to a brand new deck or is more oil at that point a waste of time?

hey everyone. i have been talking to c640947 and helping him with the custom ballast system since i am doing the same thing with my X2. i just installed all the valves and hoses today and i was going to test it tomorrow but Fly High forgot to send the valves with the sacs so i will only see how the valves work with the stock hard tanks.
i rode behind mine before ten hours. you just cant go over 4000 rpm's and not have to much weight in the boat and i just passed 10 hours last weekend. im really excited to see what the wake is like with more weight.
Michael when we recieved our boat the teak looked like it needed some teak oil. i ended up applying 2 coats of teak oil to get that nice deep finish. Unless your platform looks like it needs some teak oil you will just want to apply a light coat here and there to keep the nice finish

Did you plumb into the existing pumps or did you wire in new ones. I will be adding extra ballast this year to my X45. Any diagrams and equipment needs would be helpfull.

Yeah I rode on it after 1 hour with just the stock ballast. There has been quite a debate of when I was supposed to do that, but I ended up just doing it. We haven't run it past ~3000 rpm while wakeboarding.
I will try to take some pictures of the stereo install soon. I went with some Memphis Audio amps that looks super clean and have an "M" logo on there that looks cool. I am having a custom grill made for a kicker solobaric sub in the "X2" logo - wont be ready for a couple of weeks but I'll post when it is done. Should be sick.
Haven't started on the ballast yet, but we do have most of the parts needed. Just need the quick connects from Fly High. But I would guess we also need to put some more time on the engine b/c that extra ballast may have the engine running at too high an RPM.
projectely4 has been a ton of help - thanks again William.
That body of water is the upper san jacinto river in Houston, TX.

oh funny story - I have been driving boats since I could about walk and have been boating at the same place for a couple of years - I know it like the back of my hand and could slide my 190 in ace ventura style right up to to the dock with no need for anyone to catch it. I go out on this the first day I got it and was so nervous I could barely manuever it around. Didn't wanna hit the dock the first day out. Since then I have gotten more comfortable and have been pleasantly suprised that is it much more manueverable that most other company's similar sized boats.
I do want to take a picture in the water of the view you get when it comes around to pick you up from a fall. That nose just looks amazing......

i am thinking about deactivating the check valve on the overflow and just use the gauges to determine when the tank is full. do you guys think i need the check valve?
c640947
03-19-2006, 08:31 AM
Well if you take the sac out ever you will need that check valve on the overflow or you will need another shutoff valve. I installed mine last night and will try to take pictures and post later today after we test it. I couldn't get pics last night cause it started raining. I used temporary L's on the sac until my quick connects come in from fly high.

William thanks for posting the pictures - looking at yours I think I have my T installed wrong. I knew I wasn't going to get pressure into the bag and now I realize how to solve that problem. One question about your diverter with the lever - its three way, right? So you can turn the level to fill only tank, fill only bag or fill both, right? I went with a brass shut off inline and put it next to the bag so I could easily shut it off without having to take that wall off. I figure I am gonna want to take the bag out to clean that area.

My diverter valve only can fill the tank or the sac. it cant fill both at the same time. there are some with different valves so you can choose both if you want but i couldn't find one like that. i am thinking of replacing the check valve with a shut off valve because i will just use the gauge to determine if it is full and i actually think it will still overflow out the port and only a little water will go inot the sac. and the shut off valve will let me take the sac out if i need to.

OK now that you said it I will admit I did the same thing when we took mine out on day 1
