Here where I live NYS I have had really good luck sending my ticket in with a "not guilty" plea and requesting a "supporting deposition".
One time I got the speeding ticket reduced down to a lesser charge (all throught the mail BTW), thus not impacting my insurance rates. Another time they just dropped the charge altogether! Don't know if that will work in Texas though. Good luck.

hacker,

nothing against you personally;)

I wish TTAdmin would create a Lounge Area with login restrictions, so we could talk without being refrained... either in our views, beliefs, language, likes, dislikes, and what have ya.

I have witnesses to this story....
We were coming back late night from a basketball game on an old highway...
The vehicle that was traveling with us and I would slow down through the little towns, and "open her up" when we got outta town....
After several towns doing this, I passed the other family, went through another town, then it happened.

I noticed a car come up on me hard, just figured it was someone goofing around because they had a passenger side marker light was out, figuring a Highway Patrol wouldn't have a marker light out.... so we opened her up.

The patrol car was between the other family while we in the mid to upper 80's. (speed limit was 55 & 65 thoughout the encounter)

When that cruiser passed me, I was doing 87, and he rocked the Suburban from his turbulence! and took freakin' off!!! out of sight in an instant!

The other family and I have laughed about this little encounter for years, and the best we can figure out is the cop noticed we'd slow down and obey the speed limits in the populated areas, and open her up in the country.

he went through several towns with us, but we could not tell he was a police car

Sorry if I said something to offend you....

I was only sharing some personal experience in hopes it would help out a fellow TT member.

I don't get it? You don't have anywhere else to vent? Why does MC need to provide that for you? If you need to vent on the internet, I'd have to say that there are roughly 1,986,423,004 places on the internet to do it.

Ok a place to vent huh?

I got to spend an hour sitting infront of a city law directer because my step son (16yr old) Found it necessary to go out and get boozed up New Years Eve and now charges are being pressed aginst the guy whose daughter had the party.
Fortunately I'm laid off as his mother and his dad are to buisy to cart him around! Don't get me wrong, I love him to death and treat him as my own,but again his bs father came thru like a star for his kid!
Ok i'm done whew!
