:steering: GOOD NEWS: I completed 2 whole sets today at 28mph 15off with the gates. It was just the mini course, but i have to start somewhere.

MORE GOOD NEWS: My wife, who said she had no desire to run the course, ran it today. She's got the bug. she ran the course twice and got all 6 at 15off and 25mph (mini course too). :steering:

Thats awesome! I remember my first set like it was yesterday. The next step is a good coach. Mine was a 18 year old punk who taught me more in one day than I learned in 1 year on my own. Worth every penny!

I strongly encourage you to go skiing with Vince and his friends if you have the chance to.You will probably learn a LOT hanging out with those guys for a set and remember that we all started skiing the course at some times and know that it's a very humbling experience,i don't think those guys will laugh at you for trying to learn it!

...And yes,it's addictive!
P.S.
Vince must be some kind of waterski boat walking encyclopedia :worthy:

yeah, he definatly is a walking encyclopedia. I'm gonna go out a few more times 'til i can actually make a few balls on the full course w/o the gates then i'll hit it with vince. his course doesn't have a mini course, so it'd be harder to get coaching i think.....either that or i'm making up excuses :D

Heres my story.

Personal best on my own: 6@15 off 28mph

One lesson: Full pass@15 off 32 mph

Fourth Lesson: Full pass@15 off 36 mph

End of one year: 1994 Novice Capital Area Champion (that makes me old doesn't it!)

End of summer: 2@28 off 36 mph :worthy:

You'll see such a improvement that you think you at hooked now!
