Never been to it. I hear it's a real good time with lots of great skiers. If you go look for the Hidden Valley Ski Team. They are all serious about it. I ski with them just for another excuse to be skiing :steering:

Yes, but if you have ever been to think tank you would know that it is just a big beer fest with skiing topics discussed in the morning until the beer tent/bars open.

And I'm sure the law is everywhere too. Sounds like a good concept, but I avoid big beer/ drinkin parties anymore.

I've only heard stories, never been, so I can't comment on the presence of the law.

Its a waterski convention. I have never gone, and i have no clue what to expect out of it. I dont want it to be some kegger or anything.

Think Tank is held each year in Oconomowic Wisconsin (30 miles East of Milwaukee) at the Olympia Resort. Sponsored by the Wisconsin Water Ski Federation (WWSF). Starts Friday night and runs till Sunday around noon. 3 event, wakeboard, lots of show, foil, barefoot. Multiple tanks are held each hour with an expert basically giving a class. You pick what you want to attend and then spend the day wandering around from class (tank) to class (tank). Lots of hands on stuff, tramp for the wakeboarders. Good time, tons of skiers of all ages.

Drinking is restricted to guest rooms, a designated area, and the bar. Security is provided by members of the WWSF. The law only gets involved if it gets out of hand which is seldom. Used to be a different story.

Worth attending.

Classes are 70% show ski related. Some great 3 event instructors and coaches. The barefoot clinics are always good. Don't know who is teaching this year but have rubbed elbows with some of the worlds best in the past.

Party wise, or ski wise?

SKI*MC

Neither really... i didnt stay for the parties, but nothing much was going on there. They had a few boats, a tampoline set up, a few wakeboards, Mike was there with Fly High and B.I., and that was pretty much it. I didn't go back today.

I stopped by briefly on Saturday mostly to see what was there in the equipment area and get a sense of how what it was set up like. Did not go to any of the classes. But I saw 6 balls freshly wrapped truck too. It really looked sharp. Next year I hope to acutally register and go to a couple of clinics.
