that is on the sides of the boat. Is it in bad form to use them on my 2000 195?

Would it be difficult to remove them later, and put on the correct years logo?

Thanks for your comments.

My 2001 195 has raised chrome letters that it came with. Are these what you are talking about?

Do what you want, it's your boat. The only issue you can have changing graphics is the area under the letters doesn't fade like the rest of the hull so you might be compounding the gel coat to restore color before new graphics go on.

Take a look at Ryan's boat. I think he has the drip molded lettering on his 94. It looks really good IMO.

Why thanks. Now, if I can only find some rear chrome PS 190 decals from '98 I'll be set. It seems Jim didn't get any in his batch. So, now I'm having a hard time deciding whether to go for the 01-current PS 190's or leave it as is. Since the 99-00 flying star aren't my style.

To your question bobk. As long as you do the job right, going for drip-mold//comed decals would look great on a 195. Plan on a lot of buffing/compound rubbing/sanding depending on the level of oxidation of your gel coat. I never could get my transom as perfect as it possibly could have been, but I got the coloring right. My wife was glad when that project was over. I spent a lot of time in the garage. What decals do you have on your boat now? Can you post some pics?

I hate the drip letters. They look great but you have to be so careful with them. They rip, tear, scratch, and flat come off. I wish mine were painted to look the same.
