I have a 96 ps205, that the temperature warning light doesn't come on when you turn the key to the first position prior to starting the boat. I checked the bulb and it has continuity thru it. I was wondering what I should check next. I did a search (TT) and couldn't find anything, so I hope I'm not repeating things.

Does it come on AS you start it? Or shortly thereafter? And you aren't talking about the accessory position on the switch right?

The light never comes on. I assume it's like a car warning light, you turn the key to the 1st position clockwise and the warning lights come on. Then when you start the boat the light goes off.

What happens when you turn the key to the "first" position? Does anything come on?

Did you just buy the boat?

Nothing comes on in the first position or anytime. I've had the boat since it was 3 months old with 12 hours. It's always been like this, and luckily I've never had it in the shop for anything else, or I would have had them look at this. But I don't like the idea of not having warning light, so I'd like to get it fixed.

It only comes on when you have a problem. My temperature and transmission light are off all the time... I guess I hope they work when I need them, but they do not seem to work the same way a car does!

I'll check mine this weekend while I'm at the boat but I am sure it comes on when the ignition is put in the "on" position before the engine is started, and then goes out. Mine is a 2001 LTR, so not identical.

Oh, by the way... mine is a 96 PS190, if that makes any difference?

Mine don't come on at all and I have a 96 190.
