Anyone know of good replacement cup holders (especially for the ones on the engine cover area) for a 1998 Maristar? The ones on my new to me not yet used boat seem awfully brittle. In fact, during these winter months I have been in and out of the boat a few times wishing for spring and actually cracked the lip on one of them. Is there a company that makes metal ones?

Second ?, does anyone make replacement speaker grills (polished metal type)? I have already inadvertently bumped into the the one right behind the driver seat and cracked a couple of the fins. I was able to glue it together, but I can see the kids doing the same thing. Some metal ones would be much more durable.

Thanks for any info

Haven't seen any metal speaker grills that will fit the stock (?) speakers. Also, many people are interested in replacing those cupholders, and it seems the only alternative may be to modify the new cupholders found in the 197's to fit your existing application.

If you're just talking about the plastic inserts, they're readily available for a few bucks a piece. If you're talking about that whole grey piece that's in there, I got nothin'.

Last year I believe I saw aluminum speaker grills in Mastercraft's BLING section. Unfortunetly I have yet to see the link on the 2006 MC site, and no news on anything new for '06 yet.:(

On the cup holders. We (myself and a few others here on TT) have been looking for some Billet cup holders to replace the plastic ones, and install new ones. I have had no luck, and by the looks of things(or lack thereof), no one else has yet either.:(

For stainless cupholders, off the top of my head:
SkiDim: http://www.skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=SSDC70100

Or I'd check the usual places/sites.
Boatersworld.com
Westmarine.com
Overtons.com
Skilimited.com
Barts.com
Ebay.com
etc.

As for speaker grills, Google the term, "billet speaker grill" and find sites like:
http://www.xaudiocovers.com/
Or check:
Ebay.com
Or your local MB Sports dealer. They put some stout powdercoated, billet speaker grills in those boats.

West marine has a variety of plastic and 304 s/s cup holders and some have fittings so you can plumb them to drain into the bilge. Another source is your local upholstery shop, they have industry specific catalogues for materials and accessories for their customers requirements.

I agree about the cupholders, I have some breaking as well. Someone gave me this link a while back:

You MC dealer can get them for a couple bucks each. I replaced all of mine last year, and using a 4" holesaw also added one to the rear fender on my lawn tractor ;)

How do I get to the Mastercraft BLING section?

Seems like that might have been on the http://mymastercraft.com/ site. They have speaker grills that look like this there:

I replaced the cupholders on the engine box with THESE (http://www.eddiemarine.com/cart/catalog.asp?CategoryID=127&CategoryName=Cup+Holders) from Eddie Marine. Only $10 a piece for SS.

I ONLY WISH I KNEW.... I don't think they even have the equipment in the 2006 Book. You might try PM'ing MYMC and see whats up. The 2005 book had everything, and the 2005 MC website had a link with a .pdf you could download and have it. Unfortunetly I never saved it...:o

I know there is someone on here that has them on their tower, I just don't recall who.

Those speaker covers are cool, however I don't think I could use them because my speakers are Kenwoods. If I remember right there are only 2 or 4 screws that hold the grilles on.

Anyone else have a problem breaking/cracking these type of speaker grilles. They are pretty flimsy and a small bump is all it takes.

No, I actually quit looking. I took the semi-broken covers off and glued the grill fins back in place, so far this is working great.

I had them installed at the factory with the LED Kit in Blue. They look awesome at night and I have attached a photo. I wish I could get them in a 6x9 for my tower. I have six Alpine 2-Way 6x9s on my tower box. The grills look nice but it would be even nicer to have them match in a 6x9 size. I thought about having them custom built to match but decided yesterday that I will just add the LEDs to the existing grills on the tower.
