What order of Restoration would you recomend? stringers, Floor, carpet, swim platform, gel coat, rub rail, decals. Thinking it would be multiple winter projects. Any thoughts? TB
i want before pics now! This is the best place for advice.

well, you have to get the stringers before the floor and carpet. the other stuff is detail work, that can be done over time. Such as once you have the floors done, the engine mounted etc it is a boat. The other stuff is then just cosmetic, so if you went for a cruise w/o having new decals it would not cause problems with performance.
your order looks pretty good in my opinion. make sure it isn't leaking by the rub rail fairly early on.

Do it however you want. I did my hull resto in one winter. The engine the next winter. You can do it all in one if you want to work some late nights.

Looks great! Forget restoration. Go skiing!

it doesn't look like it needs all that. whats wrong with the floor? maybe a good buffing job would do the trick

I'm hoping a good buffing will clean up gel coat, needs new rub rail and swim platform attachment. The carpet is shot and the floor has a "delamination" problem (bubble on drivers side my engine cover). And as far as that go skiing thing see photos! When we move the plow truck (in about three months) the boat can come out to playTB

Wow, that boat looks pretty good from here! Those old Stars & Stripes are so cool. Almost bought a 1984 before finding my '89 PS. Some days I wish I had the '84 . . .
That's an awesome pic showing all that snow - I'm jealous! Where are you at?

Um, I didn't see a stereo system.
Then you go on asking silly questions about stringers and gel coat and such. Seems your priorities are screwed up. ;)

I think this was covered in another post, but your stringers should be fine.
If they did become detached fom the hull, it sould be a fairly easy fix to reattach them since they are fiberglass.
As for the floor, have you pulled up the carpet yet to get a good look at it? Lets see some detail photos of the problem.
The boat looks to be in fairly decent shape.

We're just our of Bozeman MT and some of that snow is gone now but the temp last night was -20f and colder tonight! I have one of the best stereo's ever made perhaps you've heard of Pleasure Craft! 351 cubic inches of melody making magic! lol I haven't pulled the carpet yet. But soon I've got to get a snowmobile up and running today and then maybe? I'll try and keep on the pics. Travis
