Well, I just walked in the door from the show. I spent 3 hours longer than I anticipated. Oh well. I took a bunch of pics. Anyone interested in seeing some?
If so, anything in particular, Ill see if I have it.

As usual, Jeep had a really cool indoor off road track. Problem was, no "guest" drivers this year, only employees drove and guests were the passengers.
And Dodge had a "test" track for putting the trucks through their paces. It was pretty funny seeing them try to turn the MegaCab long bed.
There were more vendors than I ever remember seeing.
And "Army of One" was there and "America's army" with some equipment to show off to the kids to get them excited about them military, including some wicked video games.

It would be worth it if you were in the market for a replacement to the Durango.... But save yourself the $30.00 for one person & parking....
I would go anyway, even if someone else posted these. There are so many things to look at.

I can't believe it is going to about double in size AGAIN!!!! It has got to be one of the largest sq. ft. of its type, anywhere. It's rediculous. To have an event of this magnitude, and have it only take up a VERY small portion of the building, its amazing.

Are there any events/conventions that take up the entire building? Or, is it ever full?

Not anymore.... I think they used to come close with the original building. Having the World of wheels and Motorcycle show at the same time if I recall. But still was not full. Then they built the new addition and have smaller shows and not at the same time.
Now they are building an even bigger addition. I can not see it ever being full, unless they get the olympics in a few years. Then it MIGHT get CLOSE, but I still doubt it.

Well went to the Cincy auto show today for a few hours. Talk about CROWDED!!

Nothing really turned my crank to much. I did get to see from a distance the new Vette with the LS7 :steering: There was a bad arse concept exotic there from "gulp" DC that had a V12 in it. :headbang: Anybody know what that was? I was hoping to see the Challenger there but it wasn't at the show.

Got to get up close and personal to a couple Maserati's, that was cool, never seen one of those in person I don't think. There was a Lambo there that was pretty cool too.

All in all it was ok. Guess being that I am pretty sour on the whole car biz and that I am not in the mode to buy a new car it was just some good entertainment and a nice outing for the wife and the little tike.

The kick to the 12cyl (5.5L I think) was the turbos. 600+HP isn't too shabby. The cool thing was the 7 speed. Not sure if you could get it with the 12 or only the 8.

I did not get to see the Vette with the 7.0, but I did get to look over the engine on a display....:D

Nope it was some exotic placed over with the Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge vehicles. I'll post pics tommorrow. Batteries on the camera went dead before I could download the pics to the puter.

I was up there last Sat evening and this looked so much like a Mustang. Great show. DC ruled the show in my opinion. Toyota also had quiet a show. Lexus was also good. Only problem with the new Camero, when can I buy one?

I am still waiting to hear if they keep that nose. I saw three different configurations. I like that one, but I wouldn't have a problem with the others either, I would just like to see if before I order one...;)

Last year yes, this year no. As far as I know, there were no accidents, so I am not sure why they changed it. They had "employees" drive.:(

I just went to a Chevy test drive event (like a downscaled AutoShow in Motion) on Friday. They bring out the best of the brand and some competeing vehicles. So much fun.

Do they do those in Detroit?

Nuts!@ I meant Chicago.

The one in orange county is on the tarmack at the old El Toro Marine base. They set up a number of courses with cones, or and other obstacles appropriate to the type of vehicle. I'll have to post some pics. The Tahoe LTZ was very nice. It didn't take the offroad course as well as the Sequoia, but it's road manners were great. The SS MonteCarlo and Impalla have some insane torque steer. It's such a shem they couldn't get those rear drive. No Z06, just the standard Vette and no SS TrailBlazer that I'd hoped to drive. I must say the Honda Civic Si was a blast to drive!
