well not a 100% yet. pending demo and selling my boat. But I put a deposit on a 2015 Prostar at the boat show yesterday! Sight unseen as it was not at the show. So no pics yet. Have really wanted one since it was introduced.

This has got to be one of the most lame threads ever! You've got to have at least one pic, Rodell!

Welcome back. Hopefully this goes better than the blue 197!

Congrats! Beautiful boat.

How is the Sac Boat Show? Hope to get there tomorrow... Discounts for the 2015's have been reeling me in.

Nice boat!! I rode behind one of those for several years... My brother owned one... That GT40 was a beast!! Maybe only metalflake out there that year.

Well , looks like I'm not back. At least not yet ! Upon putting down my deposit, my conditions were the sale of my boat and demo. Finance guy called last Friday, and left message saying that they have an interested buyer and they did not have a credit app submitted by me. If I didn't call him and submit one within the hour, he would sell it to the other guy. I didn't mind keeping mine since , I do have a lot of interest right now and can sell it soon. However I wasn't willing to run my credit without a test drive. I had tried to schedule one three times since putting down the deposit in March and kept getting excuses. Sounded like they wanted an approved credit app first , so I stopped trying. I'm totally fine if that is their policy. I'm not a tire kicker, I put down a deposit and live on a lake. But I understand if thats the way they work. However I cant be sure. I called him fairly soon after I got the message. (Was waterskiing ) Got the voicemail left a message stating my concern about no test drive prior to running credit. Still no return call. I was gone all week so a test drive was out of the question anyhow till now. I've called both the finance guy and sales guy though out the week and no return calls or texts. Not feeling so good about this dealer. So I will pass. However I do want my deposit back, and getting worried that no return calls have been made in a week.

I really want a new ProStar, but may need to rely on this dealer for service. I have no prior dealing or history with them, so I don't have much to go on. I am completlty confident with the local Nautique dealer, so I may go that direction. Or just keep mine for one more year and see what happens next spring.

Never mind looks like I might have guess wrong as to the dealer.

The thing is that I've never driven or skied behind the new prostar. Reviews are mixed. Although I'm confident that I will like the boat , I feel no need to run credit for no reason.
I completely understand they don't want to waste their time. I do live 20 minutes away from the dealership. Have a lake and launch ramp on the property. It wouldn't take more than a couple hours to knock out a test. Didn't seem they were willing to do so without that credit app. Like I said though , not even sure if that is the case. Wasn't told I would need that upon signing purchase agreement and placing deposit. Was told the demo would be a few days after the boat show. I'm thinking $100k boat buyers took priority. No call back in a week makes me think I'm not first on the list. No big deal. Plenty others to check out.
