View Full Version : 94 PS 190 Adj. Timing?

I am no mechanic. I have heard differing opinions on if timing should be adjusted on my boat. I plan on doing a minor tune this spring with plugs, fuel filters, of course oil and oil filter. What else should I look at and what about timing, y/n? The boat has fuel injection. Thanks!

base timing should be 10 above TDC - confirm fuel pressure - should 30psi - plug gap is .030 MC manual wrong - Indmar (clymer manaul correct) -- look at spray cone on injectors... if you never changed the ignition module - probably time for a new one.

clean PVC and replace that hose.. good to change the MAP sensor hose as well. Timing should be fine if it ran well before.

you might look into changing your trany fluid depending on how long its been, also its not really a maintenance item but depending on how your battery cables are it might be worth switching them out, I got new ones last spring and its been a night an day difference with how quickly it turns over
