Congrats!!

I will not be visiting TT anymore until all of this baby stuff is over. The last thing I need is another baby with a 16 and a 13 year old at home. I will be contacting the EPA so they can clean up the TT water in my absence :D

Wow - lots of babies - My wife and I are expecting our second one on Aug 23. We lost our first one (Alan) just after 8hrs and 5min. Not something I have really opened up with before, (with many friends and family it is difficult to talk to them, plus in our society the Dad's are the strong ones right?) I guess its a little easier writing it out and talking to people who are relatively strangers. He had Potters Syndrome - its where the kidney's dont develop properly or sometimes even a lack of kidneys followed by underdevoped lungs. It is 100% fatal and something that caught my wife and I by complete surprise. He was born on April 24th 2005, I miss him a great deal and I just felt like I needed to share - I could obvisouly talk about this at great length - however I really dont want to bring down this thread anymore than I already have. The wife and I are very scared and very excited about our second one coming.

Sorry I really just wanted to say congrats to bcampbe7 and his wife.

Scmaltzy,
Congratulation, you have a lot to look forward to.
I am terribly sorry to hear about your first, I am sure that had to be a tough thing to go thru after just experiencing his birth. I am sure you will appreciate your second all the more. My prayers will be with you and so will the TT gang in spirit.

Schmaltzty-

I lost my son to SIDS about 14 years ago at three months so I can empathize. I wish you and yours the best. Good Luck I know it is not easy once you decide to "proceed".

Thanks Guys... I am in the Army, stationed at Fort Hood, Texas... Our first child, is a result from my return from Iraq... I did a year over there, so, when I came home, we made up for lost time :) The bad part is, I will be going BACK over there next fall sometime for another year!!! Not too excided about that!!! But, I'll have a few months with my son before I deploy....

I think the motto in Deer Valley is if it's cold and white, they groom it. We had some very good conditions though and the skiing was great. Got over to Park City for our last day. Felt like we had the mountain to ourselves.
