Went to Mike Seipel's Barefoot Clinic held July 09, 2005 in Wetumpka, AL.
The clinic was held @ Gold Star Park, we footed on the Coosa River.

Where in Atlanta are you located?

There are a couple of guys on the foil forum that play on that lake. I was supposed to go in October and November, but it just didn't work out, mainly bc of weather. I primarily play on Martin.

The weather this year was crap for sure.

We did get a good 5 day up on Martin last year. It was pretty sweet the entire time. It was so nice I just slept on the dock 2 of the 4 nights. :D

Hit me up next time you get over to Martin. I am there most weekends during the summer. What part of the lake do you go to?

I have gone to this lake once per year for 4 years now. We do a family trip to Chesnut Bay Resort. It seems to be mostly a fishing lake. We have never bothered to explore too much, just stay in the cove by the rental. It is great for watersports right there, we always enjoy recreational skiing, wake boarding and surfing. We also break out the tube for the little ones.

I'm going to give my age away here but when I was 11 I rode a disc(yeah, that's right) on Weiss lake. But never REALLY skied it. But my assessment (at age 11) is that there was not a ton of traffic on it and it had lots of wind break areas that wouldn't kick the water up much. It has two larger bodies, but some nice sloughs as well.

Caveat: at age 11, that would have been 1971, so take this assessment with a grain of salt.

I've always wanted to slide down that big water slide there.

I believe our record is 4 seconds flat when it comes to the slide races

I have a camper set up full time on that lake. I like the lake due to there isn't many people there. Been doing that about 4 years now
