This looks like a pretty good deal from Skidim.

Is this something I could replace a 1:1 with and what would the performance benefits be, if any at all? Not reall looking to change it out... just curious.

Duh... I have an Indmar. Anyways... what would the benefits be in changing out the gearing?

You would get a stronger pull out of the hole....would be nice on my boat too, but not looking for a change at this time.

Not sure if you could make it work easy.

The PCM transmission is designed to keep the engine level in the boat and the transmission is angled to run the prop shaft thru the hull.

MasterCraft/Indmar now has the 1.23 transmission also.

Yeah after I stopped having my brain fart I realized I had an Indmar engine. I have a great hole shot with my boat so I'm not sure if this would be a good upgrade. Just curious that's all.

Aren't those the nautique trannies? If so its going to be designed to rotate the prop shaft the other direction, and not sure if its easily retrofitted.

I believe the velvet drives can be switched by swapping the pump so the pressure is opposite and therefore locks the tranny into forward gear with the shaft rotating the way you want it to, then you can swap to the right prop for forward w/ tranny going forwards.

Not sure if this is the same on a PCM

Another, often overlooked, benefit of a gear reduction trans is improved tracking because of the larger diameter prop with more surface area anchoring it in the water.

Yes, the Natique trans switch the rotation direction to counter the torque effect of the engine. From what I understand, it's supposed to improve tracking and keep the boat level for a more even wake on both sides.

As Ski King said, it won't fit without changing the engine mounts to have the engine sit flat, change the prop thu-hull angle and replacing the prop shaft strut for the different angle not to mention the prop, engine cover.....
