not to junk up the "pets" thread....since this is not my pet.

has anyone ever had a Fila Brasileiro?

from what I understand EXTREMELY LOYAL & Territorial

Wow.... that's one big dog.

But - in this day of idiots who don't control themselves (think they can walk right THROUGH your house without concent), muchless their children, I really don't want a territorial dog.

My Dalmation which just passed away last month once bit a friend of mine who entered our trailer without us there. Nothing serious, and nothing bad came out of it. But, it has made me think a lot more about a "protective" dog.

I'll say. I could not afford the dog food or have the time to pick up after that dog...

what you don't see in that pic is the stance the handler is forced to take to restrain the dog:eek:

The EX and I had at least two Great Danes at our house. We had some acreage within ALOT of acreage, and it seemed as if we were the Great Dane lost dog sanctuary.. NO ONE even got out of there cars, as there was usually a dog at each window looking them straight in the eyes... GREAT animals, but big bombs, LOTS of dog food, and like little dogs, they wanted to stay in the house ( like having a small horse inside) sit on your lap, and you could NEVER leave food on the table, at least not for very long.....
