Figured I'd beat Ric to the punch this year. We're heading to Deer Valley tomorrow morning for some much needed R&R. Assuming they have internet access, I'll probably be on during the coffee and beer hours though. Just figured I'd say bon voyage to myself. Have a great week/weekend. I'll be back on Tuesday afternoon.

I heard they got a bunch of snow last Friday. Did you take any pics when you were skiing the half pipe?

They got a lot of snow Friday and Sunday. Conditions were great and we had a great trip. Deer Valley is the most heavily groomed mountains I've ever skied. At times, that can be nice, but I prefer to have a little bit softer snow under my sticks. On Monday (our last day), we had Park City virtually to ourselves.

I'll have to remember to get some pictures to upload. We took quite a few.

I second that motion. Groomed snow is not near as fun as fresh powder. It's just so soft and silent, as if you were gliding across the snow. I'm still jealous.

Well, I could stand it being groomed every 3 days or so. Just let something settle on top of it. I just love that feeling of fluff under the skis.
