This one came with the boat, it simply slides out then the back seat can go back in. No harm or modifications were done to the boat. The previous owner used to put a fat sac or two in there.
I have never used it at all but I supose it works just fine.

I only had to cut the little rail on the side . . that's the only modification on the boat . . tha pad is just lying there . . . like if you put the rear seat up . . just bigger . . . :D

Looks like I got a sweet project on the books. Would be a very nice modification for when just the female and I are on the boat. Nice work.

was just thinking....

if you know a Stainless Steel welder, he could weld the piece that you cut off, then you could have it re-attach in a different location.

I've seen stainless steel welds on dairy equipment that would give you goosebumps, they were so perfect:love:

edit:

boogieman
nevermind, I see in the largest pic, that you cut right behind the middle mount on the stainless steel tubing, so scratch my idea:o

I like the idea. Makes for good ballast too with room for about 5 ladies on there!!

How heavy is that box when empty? Can you post a pick of the inside for us?

The box is made out of treated lumber so it's fairly heavy. Basically just plywood and some 1-1/2 x 2-1/2" bracing. It wouldn't be to easy to get pictures right now but I can post some later.

I smirked every time I saw the thread title. Someone had to say it. Glad it was Rick. Had little doubt it would be. :)
