man, I guess I shouldnt complain so much about being cold, at least we have extremely clean water here. crystal clear and clean, all the time. very rare to have debris floating in my waters.......

Here's one reason why there's so much debris on Cumberland right now. The water has risen 12-14 feet in the last several days from rain runoff. This happens every year and the debris is usually much worse on the east end of the Lake where Mag Red is located. Fortunately the west end doesn't get anywhere near that. Also, where Mag's boat is docked is actually in a tributary creek feeding into the Lake and the area of debris you see is trapped in that area due to the way the docks are connected. It does make for a mess though.

Here is a video I borrowed from one of the cCumberland websites which shows the flow over Cumberland Falls which eventually runs into Lake Cumberland at the far eastern end.

Cumberland Falls (http://users.adelphia.net/~gregwhalen/cumberlandfalls.wmv )

Be sure to watch the entire video as it cuts to a still picture of a more normal Cumberland Falls scene.
