Wow! Tell us a story, what happened?????? Hows your insurance policy on this thing?Bad weld along the catwalk somewhere. My brother inlaw, this Spring, is going to inject some soaping **** and compressed air and see where the leak/leaks are located. easy fix.

So how often do you think you'll have to go down and repump it out? Aren't you worried about corrosion inside that Steel hull?

It took 3 years for it to get that bad. I think once it warms up, she should dry out. I may cut a section out and inspect it this Summer, but it would take years for it to rust thru.

i feel ya, my little gibson houseboat is out of the water. suppsoed to be a simple fix on the outdrive. the bill keeps getting higher and higher. hopefully it goes back in this week.

What year and power do you have in that Gibson?? Way back when, friends of ours had a 34' Nautiline with twin 318's That thing hualed @$$!!! :headbang:

its an 86 gibson 32', single engine but its fast for a houseboat. i've had it up to about 25mph with room to go.

dumb question but what if you put an airline fitting in that drilled hole with a small compressor on a low pressure setting and let it run automatically while you are away keeping a positive pressure in there which will keep the water out? :steering:

Go with the NASCAR fix...Ductape! Can fix, or at least slow down, any leak. :rolleyes:

It doesn't have far to sink anyway ya' look at it. The pic of Lake Cumberland being so low is the same area where the Sinking Minnow is moored....

Sporty, if I recall correctly, it was still about 50' deep at Lee's Ford marina where most of the houseboats are located even though the lake was down about 20'.
