Yeah... I usually take my hovercraft to recover the boat when it runs out of gas... Not my helecopter... I thought everyone knew that! :rolleyes:

Man, and to think that guy was smart enough to get a pilots license for a helicopter then try a stupid stunt like that!!! Ive never even seen James Bond do something like that. People never cease to amaze me. :rolleyes:

You will always find dumb people. I don't know if water is like concrete to those blades luckly they did not seperate. That could have turn bad to worse quick.

In reality what they did could have worked under these conditions:

Much better pilot than they had- I.E. don't let it overrotate!!!
slightly longer tether
quick release in case what happened was going to happen

Anyway you look at it that was very risky.
