Away on business.

By my records I did 117 nights in 2005. I figure I will probably do about 135-140 this year.

(posting from a hotel now  )

zero for me

but, I'm glad you came back and clarified your poll.....
I scratched my head for a second trying to figure out what you left out of your question.

I thought you were trying to ask how many nights we got luckyhttp://deephousepage.com/smilies/slap.gif

Around 90 nights in 2005, but will be a lot less this year, estimate 30. Much better!

Its part of the gig. It is a bummer leaving the wife and little one, it's amazing how much she changes in a weeks time! But I have to do it, it's what allows her to stay at home with Hailey, which we both want.

Farmer Ted: I feel for you man!! I did 329 nights in 1999 in 14 different countries. (I was single at the time) It was glamorous and fun for about the 1st two months and then it just plain sucked!!!!!!

I did about 20 last year in 4 countries,
I figure I will visit 6 or more counties this year and log closer to 30.
I never minded domestic travel but the international stuff is definately harder on the family life and takes a ton more coordination.

It wasn't that bad, the majority of it was in Saudi, but also included mulitple stays in the Philippines, Japan, Guam, Korea, Singapore, England, and Greece.

Gotta love the Recce world, "In God we trust, all others verify"

Personal high was 263 in 1999. New job now so the TDY's should slow down.

Dang, I feel for anyone that has to travel for their job. I travel for a class every now and then (at the most 4 nights/year), but nothing like you guys.
You gotta do what you gotta do, but I would change jobs if my employer started requiring travel causing time away from my wife and future children.

It isnt all bad Beau. Travel clears my head of all the Sh$$ that clouds it up at my office. This lowers the stress level for me, which helps the family life too

I've become envious of the people that show up at 8, leave at 5, never travel, never work at night or weekends.....funny how your priorities change!
Except the past two years when I was working near Tahoe!!!!:uglyhamme

A few years back (1999) I was home in TN for 4 nights. The rest were on the road working...

Zero nights away in 2005.

Yepper,

RNLTD is 30 Jan 06. Movers are coming next week. Carla dropped her papers and her ceremony is on the 28th. I guarantee I won't be gone as much as I was. We were forever gone.

Less than 10 for me. It's rare for me to do more than 10.
