To some, it may sound strange. To us it IS normal. I believe all of us sit in our boats on occasion reminiscing about the past and dreaming about the future. Of course I sit in my boat. :D

Who doesn't sit in their boat? I even had a group of people in my boat one time in the shop that I store it in drinking beer and listing to the stero. Can't get a DUI that way. :friday:

You keep the battery charged, so why not sit in it and recharge the seat. got tha buzz one night during a snow storm, did a power turn and darn near fell outta tha boat, threw stuff everywhere, my bride came downstairs to see what happened, splained and asked her to join me in the backseat and pretend we was in that little secluded cove we use in the summer. i'm gonna miss her

While our boat is in storage I do keep it in the driveway in the fall before storage for a few weeks. I spend a lot of time cleaning and detailing it before it goes and hope for a bonus day before winterization.
I do at least once sit in it during a nice night with the radio on and begin drinking heavily.
She's waiting for us, can't wait...

Yeah, I sit in my boat during the "winter". Although when I sit in the boat in the "winter" I am usually skiing. Today is January 8th and the high for the day is 70. I took a set just about an hour ago. Rough "winter" huh??? :D :D :D

I have a buddy who has a place on the Columbia River at Sunland in central WA. We'll all go out there & camp in his yard & ski all weekend long. There is no good moorage on the river there so at night all the boats get pulled out & will be parked in his driveway (and his in the garage)........ and thats where the party will be all evening, keg at the door, tunes up, people sitting in the boat, dancing all over, etc. He even has motion / sound sensing disco lights installed in the garage to really jazz it up.

To answer the original post.....when I put my stereo and speakers in, I started at 8pm after putting the kids to bed (seems like my best time to work in the garage undisturbed)....grabbed tools and beers and set to the task of the install. By 10pm I was sitting on the back bench listening to the radio and playing with the remote control......by 11ish I was 1/2 in the bag, going to climb out w/ an armload of tools. I missed the step on the fender and fell to the concrete below.....fell between 2 garbage cans and just short of banging my head on the truck's running board parked right next to it. Good thing I was drunk, otherwise I might've gotten hurt. :D

As everyone else has said...of course I sit in the boat when I get a chance over the winter months. In the summer, it is one of my favorite places for an afternoon nap......crank the boat up on the lift and catch an hour or so of shut-eye on the back seat.

Before I got the MC I had an old Supreme. I kept it at my parent's house. We used to sit in it all the time and drink beer. It was a great time.

I sat in my boat (just the other night) AND skied all night long. It was with the regular crew, and we all skied great!!

Needless to say that I was sad after I woke up..

If I was lucky enough to be able to keep the boat at the house, I would definately sit in it.

It sure is nice to know we're not alone in our wierdness (or so called, anyway)!

My buddies and i sit in the boats all the time over winter and talk about the good ole days (summer) over some beer.
