I am installing a subwoofer in a 2003 197 Prostar TT edition boat. I was wondering if anyone had pics or any idea how big the compartment is below the passenger side. I am going to put the sub in there. I can't get to my boat right now. I was hoping somebody had a pic or an idea how big it is. Whether the box needs to be long or fat. Thanks a lot.

I know it's not what you are asking, but a friend of mine boxed off the compartment under the seat, and mounted the speaker in the side pointed towards the bow. Sounds killer and saved money on the box. Lots of air space, plus the bow acts like a second box for the effect or rumble. His system rocks. :headbang: :friday:

This is what I currently have in my 03 197. I am going to be redoing the box this spring as it is a little small for a sealed enclosure.

I think the box is 12X12X8 or there abouts. The boat is tucked away for the winter so I won't be able to get accurate measurements until sprin. I have a box the same size stufffed up under the drivers dash also. Both boxes will get redone in the spring.
