Maybe I am naive, a simpleton, or just plane computer illiterate. I don't know, you choose. But I gotta know, what does "bump" mean? :o

Some threads go to the bottom and out of the firs page fast, and you post a reply "bump", as it bump that one to the top to give that person a chance to get an answer to their question.

I once read it was an acronym for Bump Up My Post.

But that osn't really make any sense since the the first word is Bump.....

also, to bump the sysetm is a computer jock's slang for power cycling a device. anyone else got another take on bump??

A BUMP is what I dont want to do when I come into the dock.
ski -- this is the other take that i like the best. of course, there are some other posts that are much more pleasing to the eye (and some that make you want to ralph).
