View Full Version : What a Cool Kid.

I thought I would share the story of my cool kid....

Last spring my daughter, then age 7 and in the 2nd grade, came home excited from school and told me about an assembly they had that day. The assembly had talked about "Locks of Love", which is a not-for-profit organization that provides natural wigs for children that have long-term hair loss from medical reasons.

My daughter decided that day that she was going to grow her hair out and donate it when it was long enough. The donated hair needed to be atleast 10 inches long, so that took her quite a while to grow. She stuck with it...a little girl on a mission.

Tonight we headed to the salon and she donated her hair. I am very proud of her right now for making the commitment to help others.

Here is a before picture.

I have a niece that did this on her own accord. It's incredible. I am freaking out that I might be thinning up top, big kudos to your girl.

Wow, that's awesome. As a parent as well, nothing warms my heart more than to see my little ones being generous on their own. Give her a big hug from the MC gang! :wavey:
