I was looking for some help. My brother may buy my 2007 Prostar 197 which has 60 hours on the engine. I am trying to find out a true value for this boat. Almost perfect condition. I look around and see a lot of 197's 2004-2008 with 400 plus hours with asking price around $35,000. Does anyone have any ideas on a price including the single axel Mastercraft trailer? Thanks.

60 hours on the original engine, or a replacement engine?

Which engine is it and what other options do you have (stereo, heater, etc.)

Beautiful boat, BTW.

Stock engine. 350HP Ilmor. Heated seats, no Perfect Pass or Heater. It does have a stereo.

shouldn't have ilmor. should be indmar.

low hours would put you at the 35k range

Sorry, that is what I meant. Thank you.

With no speed control, bow cover, heater, etc. I would agree with asking 34-35k with the MCX--if it were going on a listing site. For my brother that price would be not be the same, but everyone's relationship is different.

Again, great colors, and no snaps drilled in from a cover, no extraneous bimini hardware that most in MN wouldn't use, just a beautiful unmolested boat.

The solid black and white looks nice. $35k.

Why such low hours? That's like weird low.

Honestly, that seems pretty high to me. The absolute top I would pay for for that boat is $32k. I owned a 2005 with an MCX and it sold for $30 w/275 hours.

This time of year: 30-32K.

Thanks for all the advice. I found the boat in Kansas. It had never been used when I bought in April of 2012. It was owned by a company that bought it from a dealership going out of business. They used it as an asset on their books. It is a great boat and I will be really sad to see it go, but we are getting an X10, so that just be fun!!!!
