Hi,

Does anyone here know what is the shaft length for a 93 PS190/1:1 Velvet drive? I'm looking for the length of the original one. (OEM)
My boat is not seating near my place and I want to put a new shaft but the dealer asked me the length of my shaft...

thanks,

Damien

If you need the length of the propeller shaft I have an old one for my 93' PS 190 that I can measure. The shaft is 47 and 1/2 inches long and is a 1 inch diameter. I hope this helps.

Sorry, France centimeters 120 millimeters 8. 120.8cm

I was all ready for some real competition! :D So who has the longest shaft on this thread? Leroy has a V-drive so I would think he would have the shortest! I am on record at 47.5" baby!ops.............thought this was about something else :o

Damien; Why do you need a new one? Given how hard it can be to get can this one be fixed?

Sorry to degenerate Damien, but someone is challenging my manhood! When you don't have skill make it up with size!

ok. thanks Hoosier. That's perfect. Leroy, my old PROPELLER SHAFT (no confusion) has been damaged with corrosion etc... Now it's time to get a new one!

You may want to fit some zinc plates to your boat, if you are getting corrosion, it may be countered by having something else more readily reactive. That's what they're used for anyway. Ski boats don't tend to come w/ them factory, but i've seen tracking fins made out of that stuff.

They make some zinc fittings that are designed to fit on the prop shaft itself. That would probably be your best solution.
