30 gallons of fuel: $75.00
1 lost lure: $11.00
1 lost bottom rig (hook, line, sinker): $2.00

1 26" redfish: $88.00 (no, not priceless  )

Maybe I should just go skiing and pick up some fish tacos on the way home from the lake instead...

Indeed..... That definetly should have been the ultimate "fish" story for that... But what can you really do anymore for that bargain price... and it includes at least one meal!!

Good morning laugh!

That is cheaper than most! Don't think too hard or you will realize the $100 ski runs!

ha! Oh God don't count the costs!
It's a good fish and if I can spend the morning on the Bay, I don't care if I catch or not. (OK, unless I'm on a paid trip but that just increases the cost of the fish!!)

Well, there is waterskiing:

10 gallons of boat gas: $20.00
3 gallons of tow vehicle gas: $6.00
Fish tacos on the way home: $6.00

Afternoon ski trip on the lake: $32.00

I don't count the price of beer, that happens no matter what I'm doing! :toast:

Actually, it was rainy, windy, and very choppy all day yesterday so skiing wasn't an option... Given the conditions, I was lucky to get the one fish.

You'd better try $200 hamburger nowadays. Going rate on a C-172 here is in the $105 an hour range.

Pilots right. I reserved a 172xp back in Colorado for the Christmas holiday. $165 an hour wet.

I sold the airplane, as maintenance, insurance, and hangar expenses were killing me.

Holiday weekend a couple of years ago, a fisherman dropped his fishing rod in the water and jumped in after it. Apparently the beers clouded his judgement, as he didn't know how to swim, and wasn't wearing a life jacket :( His rod and lure cost him his life.
