Has anyone purchased the new Eight.3 ballast bag and pump? Reviews?

I like the fact the pump is three times faster (3700 gal per min) than the Tsunami pump.

I wonder if the electrical requirements would be an issue? Here are the specs:

Fuse Size: 25 amps Amp Draw @ 12
Volts: 15.5 Amp Draw @ 13.6
Volts: 20.0

I was looking at these in the spring but couldn't get past the price for the system as the old Tsunami would have to go in place of the newer bigger pump. At close to $400 for one bad and the pump I had to table it for next year. Hopefully the price will come down or I'll free up some cash for toys next year.

i am using it, i bought two 800lb bags and the 3700gph pump. i am very happy with the speed. the only issue i had was with the pump tripping my socket breaker and then the main ignition breaker once in a while. this was due to the fact that i have an older supra with dash wiring that isn't quite up to snuff; i ended up getting around it by wiring in a socket directly to the battery with 10ga wiring. no issues since--the male socket attached to the ronix pump is hot after filling/draining but no issues with the new female socket or wiring.

i timed it and it fills the 800lb bag in roughly 2 1/2 minutes.

Someone has to come up with a faster pump for the flyhigh/straightline bags-
I was looking on wakemakers site to see if there was an adaptor for the ronix pump, there is 'some' hope that they are searching for something with better capacity than the sumo/tsunami pumps-maybe develop their own?
I'm not likely to go buy all new bags but I might buy another pump if it was much faster.

I bought the 800lb bag and pump last Friday. Used it this past weekend and it was awesome. I filled the 800lb bag in half the time it took to fill my stock ballast and fly high piggyback system. I absolutely love it, however I'm coming from the old type bag with the water bed fittings though.

We have two 800lbs and a 1100lbs with the 3700 pump. The pump is fast, both for filling and empting. The only suggestion is to drill one of the upper fitting for a air blead on filling. I called mastercraft about the power draw concern. They didn't see any issues with the Amps needed to run the pump, and we have not had any issue either. We have used the bags about twice a week since early may without issues.

The tsunami 1200gph pumps seem to fill the 400lb bags I have around the boat fast enough for me. I'm usually still waiting on the 750's in my locker to fill after I've filled two 400's with that pump. I'm not THAT impatient.

We use a 1200 pound L-shaped fact sac and the tsunamis pump takes about 9 min to fill/drain. Not terrible, but when you want to do a quick set it would be nice to do it in 3 minutes.

I picked up the 3700 pump and the 1100 pound Eight.3 telescoping bag last week, it was fast! The telescoping drain empty's the bag quickly, no priming of the pump b/c you drop the entire pump in the bag to empty. My kids go nuts waiting for the ballast to fill and empty so cutting the time in half was well worth the money! I filled the 1100 pound bag in the same amount of time it took to fill my stock 352/280 pound bags. Plus I got it from wakemakers and used the 10% discount. I am very happy with both products!

how is the old plug and play tied to the exit house cracking hard tanks,, seem to be hearing a lot about that lately,, should i take mine out and fill my extra surf bags over the side with one of these pumps.. Sure don't want to crack a hard tank

another plus for me when switching sides surfing is that you can drop it in the one bag and transfer that water to the other bag. 2-3 min you're surfing the goofy side.

Now THAT would be nice. I've been meaning to buy some quick connects for my tsunami pump to just go bag to bag. I'd lose my air vent doing that though...
