I love my 2004 230VRS - it has tons of room.
The 2006 230VRS isn't appealing to me, however, because it's TOO big. It's gigantic. It's wide enough at 102 inch beam that I'd have to get a new boat lift, and it won't fit through the (standard) single-car garage door into my storage building. Additionally, the 2006 230VRS is heavy enough that it won't work in a standard boat lift, which is usually 4000 lb capacity. If one were to buy a 3900 lb 230VRS, you'd have to go up to the next (much more expensive) 6000 pound boat lift. I consider my 98"-beam, 3300 lb MariStar to be the perfect size for my needs.
The 210VRS (my only other 2006 option) is too small inside to really make me happy. I knew this '04 MariStar 230 was perfect for me the moment I saw it on the dealer's floor. If I were looking today, and all I had to choose from was 230VRS vs 210VRS, I'd still be looking, and probably looking mostly at Malibu, Tige, or Supra.
By the way....I note that on the 2006 web site, the 230 VRS is listed as having a 102 inch beam. On the same page, the "overall width with trailer" is listed as being 100 inches. How does THAT work, exactly? Sounds like some remarkable trailer construction technology.

I agree BIGMAC, I have a 2001 230VRS. I love the room, but lately have been 3-4 people skiing/boarding and I would like around a 20' MC for better ski wake. When I have the family and couple of friends then I really appreciate the size!
I'm amazed they added 600 pounds over my boat!
Storage space is second to none! They are like floating garages!
I like the looks of the 200VRS.
