Anyone have any experience or feedback on the Interstate (or any for that matter) AGM batteries? I've currently got a single battery set-up that will only be charged by the alternator and from what I'm reading, it seems like AGM's might be the best of both worlds for starting and deep cycle running. Is it worth the money? Any better than regular lead-acid? Any special charging requirements?

Historically I have had very good results with Interstate.

I currently have 2 Deka Marine batteries in my X9 that came with the boat. They are at least 5 years old and still working well.

I have not used one yet, but have a project in the works that might be a good candidate for one. Just need to compare the specs and price to the Shuriken.

I have always run a deep cycle/starting battery and had good luck.

I personally do not think a mat/dry cell battery are worth the extra money. A properly maintained lead acid battery will last just as long.
