Owner is selling a 2005 MC 209 with 113 well maintained hours. They lived out of state and have sold their cottage and now are selling the boat. Boat is fully loaded with tower, slalom and board racks, tower speakers and lights multiple ballast, looks new. They are asking $36,000? I think it's a bit too much? Any idea what it should be worth or what to offer the seller?

Sounds high at first glance, but that's so few hours it could be justified maybe. Always try to dicker. Won't give away as you're looking at it, but if it's where I think it is, it's likely had great service.
36k is way high. low hours doesnt always mean well maintained!

29-31k would be more in the range I'd be willing to pay for it if it was perfect. Looks nice in the photo you provided, though.

Price is set right for this time of year will he get it - most likely not - but at least its a starting point to go down from .. nice boat... 31-33 would probably take it - cash in hand... but its summer - in the fall it will go for hi 20's. with there were more pics

Upon further inspection there appears to be some rust on the engine mounts and oxidation on the intake manifold. The boat has never been in salt water. There was some rust about 1" long on the dipstick but the oil looked clear. How concerned should I be about these? I do not have any pictures yet.

Not so much the first couple things, but the idea of rust on the dipstick would concern me. It's easy to have oil looking clear if it was changed and then stored for the winter. Running it for a while and inspecting the filter later could be enlightening, but if there are real questions about the engine, it's hard to justify the price.
That's my opinion, I could be wrong.
