So I convinced my buddy to buy a 1997 xstar for $2500. It needs a new block. Currently it has a 350 chevy carbed motor in it and we just took it all apart yesterday... Will any 350 chevy block mount up and what about bolting up to bell housing. Boat is the navy with wakeboard tower... Also it is missing the curved passenger windshield. Any idea of where I can cheaply get another or replacement made? We are tying to spend at max 10,000 on this boat including ballast, perfect pass, and wetsounds... Use it all summer, and them sell a nice boat next spring for a little bit of profit. Thanks guys.

Here's a pic to give you an idea... The last two digits on the hull I'd are 97 but the title says it a 99? I assume it's really a 97?

taylormade.com can get you a window.. pricey... for $2500 with a trailer? If everything else works I would go for it. if a resto budget of 8500 can get you running.. you could make a few $$$ -

No other cheaper route to get glass... Of coarse finding a salvaged one would be very difficult but maybe a type of plastic one made that doesn't look to bad... Maybe we could get the windows a little tinted so it will look like it matches
