View Full Version : What's it worth: 2005 X-Star

Not much info, but I am just curious as to what you guys think. I am looking at a 2005 X-Star with an orange bottom hull, white middle section and orange top deck. Interior is white with orange accents, black snap-in carpet. MCX engine, 300 hours. Somewhat of a stripper model, only "options" are swivel board racks, factory clarion tower speakers, bimini top and a tower mirror. No trailer. Gelcoat significantly faded on one side. Running gear and underside of the hull are in good shape. Interior shows wear and fading, but no tears.

Cliffs Notes: Boat is neglected, but restoreable. No significant damage, but many small problems. If I had to categorize it, it would be below average.

I'm trying to figure out the market for these 04/05/06 X-Stars. Prices seem to be north of $40k for a clean boat, but that's asking. I thought this boat would be worth about $35K. Thoughts?

I'll try to get a picture later tonight or tomorrow.

you'll get more for pictures... neglected exterior and interior usually means neglected driver train...

Certainly rough, but no evidence of salt.

That dose not look too bad. Of course I'm looking from my phone so maybe I'm missing something or need glasses. LOL I think that will go for low 40's high 30's. Keep in mind the weather is warming up and a lot of people are looking for boats. Used market is still strong for these Xstars

I'm with Aric on this one, 28-30 probably. I've been looking at x stars all winter and I've found some nice ones listed for 35 with a trailer.

There was an 05 in Tennessee that was pretty much identical to the one your asking about minus the graphics. It had a brand new mcx with 1 hour, (600 on boat) tandem trailer, newer upholstery, and some other stuff listed for 35,9. It must have sold or they gave up trying to sell it. It was listed from last October until at least February
