What would you guys say this thing is worth? Very clean, ~230 hours. #24 of 35.

Spare parts, I'll gladly take it off your hands so you no longer have to look at that eye sore :D

Seriously though - I'm not sure, but it is one of the most sought after prostars out there. I suspect one in good condition, as this one appears to be, and the low hours, you could probably fetch somewhere in the high 20's to north of $30K. I'm just guessing, there are others on here far better than I at estimating potential resale values.

Again, condition will be the big variable, but my guess is low to mid 30s at a minimum, given those hours. Tower adds some monetary value in absolute terms, but some purists will consider it a liability. Other goodies like second battery, upgraded (recently) stereo won't necessarily add much asking price value but will help with speed of sale. Dual axle trailer also a plus for most people.

6.2l, super clean, very rare and cool boat.

Found the ad. I don't think they're too far out of line. If you could get it closer to 30k it would be an exciting deal for sure, but in it's apparent condition that boat--with it's supply and demand--could still fetch mid 30s. Especially this time of year.

Only takes one person with $$ that wants it and *poof*

My thought would be more. That's arguably the best looking MC made. A person looking for this boat knows exactly what it is/how rare it is. They will be willing to pay the price.

List it around 40. Don't let it go fro less then high 30's

Nor would I want a 40th. This thread makes me smile…this will probably be the only 35th that comes up for sale this year.

Cool looking boat, but 11 years old nonetheless. You can find 2011-2013 WTT boats with low hours in the high 30s and low 40s.

There is likely a premium for the limited edition. But it's a premium on an 11 year old boat...if a "regular" 2003 sells for mid to upper 20s in similar condition, I would value this at upper 20s to low 30s. A 6L engine is a pricey upgrade at purchase ($5,000-$6,000?), but depreciates quickly in the resale market. Again...cool boat. But there are 12 years worth of 197s in use, and certainly this is a cool graphic scheme, but it is just that...graphics and embroidery in the upholstery.

As always, it's worth what someone is willing to pay. Doesn't hurt to ask high, and see if it sells.

(I think that boat has been for sale for years, on and off, has it not?)

$33K out the door. They want a premium price at $36k plus tax. If you're willing, then it's worth it.

Nice looking machine......

okay guys, here's the scoop (since my buddy decided not to buy the boat today). Owner has it listed under consignment at Thomas Marine in Gonzales, LA (link below). He's had the boat for two years and is selling cause his son passed away a while back and... well I'm sure you can imagine. My buddy owns the audio shop that did the upgrades and has been in love with the boat since, but decided to go another route. Anyway, the owner will take $30k. Boat is in very very good shape, upholstery seems brand new, whole boat seems brand new. Anyway, hoping she finds a good home at a great price.

I'd have a 40th 197-190 if I had a 40th XStar just to complete the set
Did the 2003 35th 197 come with clamping board racks? perhaps the tower was put on 2005 or later

Agree. 40ths were like really cool when they first came out because they were different but now they are like, eh...

The TT boats...what is so special about them? I do not understand why people get so fired up about them? They make them every year...just like every other boat MC makes...

I do not remember this 35th boat being up for sale before...the one that was for sale a few times in Lousiana was #23...that boat was in rough shape.

Either way, this is a sweet boat whoever gets it.

I call this ad a scam. Like 03 35th says the pic of the platform is of his platform and if you look at the other photos one of them is clearly a photo of the 35 for sale in LA. In fact if you look close at the pic that shows the tug in the garage you can see that it has a tower mounted to it? ***!

I'm going to take a flying guess and say a majority like the 35th better. However, I like the 40th A LOT and know others do too. How can you go wrong with red metal flake? I think some folks were bothered there weren't enough stars in the design. The '93, '98, and '03 did look pretty dang good with them.

The 35th is just so classy it gets a slide edge in design. I'm not sure why really when the 35the shares some design similarities with some TT ('05 TT Blue MCX looks cooler than the Caddy IMHO too). It mostly comes down to the SS hardware and star stickers.

Sorry to hear the circumstances, but someone will end up with a great boat at a good price.

Wish I were in that tax bracket. I'd be all over it.

Low to mid 30's is a fair price... It is a limited boat and that does hold a permium, so it will add a few k, to the value. The thing that really kills its value is the fact it has a tower on it. It's been widely stated that alone trashes the value of inboard slalom boats. It's a shame too becuase its such a pretty boat.

I emailed the seller and he says the boat is in storage and won't be available for show till this weekend. I agree the cockpit picture seems to have a tower affixed.

I also asked him if he 'borrowed' some of the pictures for representation.

Sweet boat at a good price if it's real!

Wow ... one of my favorite MC's ever .... I recall seeing them in person when we had a Team MC reunion at Norris Lake ... that was a sweet boat .....

I don't quite think 40K is right ... somewhere in the $30's for the price ... I think Double D should have his brother buy that boat.

Peace.
