Your glass manufacturer is now insolvent, unless its a Taylor Made windshield. Any one piece getting broken will likely require replacement of the entire windshield, glass and frame. Be careful...

Sad thing is you could have done this entire project on the down low and under her radar. Summer would have come and she would never know at all that you did anything to the boat. Played on the boat every weekend, she would bring out her wife friends, and just had a great time. Summer would come and go and she would never once mention anything different about this major undertaking.

Now touch anything in her kitchen and she will let you know about .0025 seconds after she walks in the door.

I just don't get it.....

But your guy friends would mention it every time they got near your boat.

I hate the squeeks and such too. The only difficulty putting it back together will be not cracking the powder coating.. I'm hoping there are no rattles or squeeks when it's done.

What's the trick for not having it crack? A little "Dremmeling" here and there?

I'll be happy if we're in the water for May long. When are you guys normally in the water out there?

I usually put the boat in first weekend of May. Water temp is between 50 - 60F by then, it's one of the best times of year on the lake as there are very few boats yet.

Lake is open in April and the docks typically go in on Easter. Although we had very high water last fall and with the amount of snow we got this year, the water may be too high to install the docks until early May!

at least you have things to do with the boat to keep you busy until then, mine is stuck in storage:(

I know that Spectrum Color supplies the paint for MC, but I can't find any red flake paints listed for MC. I called them after they closed, will have to try tomorrow. I have a local guy that does custom paints on vehicles that well try to match the flake on the inserts. If I do this, realized that I'll have to do the speaker and tweeter covers as well. Could look pretty sharp.

I have been here for a little over 2 years now but not always without the family. We decided last summer that it would be best to move them because my son was getting ready to start HS and we wanted him to start and finish 1 HS. Also this place is just crazy expensive if you want to be in a good area. Ultimately it's my choice so can't complain, just can't wait to get back and spend time doing what we love.

I feel your pain for sure. My Dad moved to SoCal when I was in 9th grade for work. My parents wanted us to start and finish in 1 HS also, but it definitely sucked. So most of my HS career was spent traveling back and forth. Still sucks being so far away from them now, but i know things are a lot better now than we were before.

It's normally around 76-78, I've seen it over 80 though.

What lake are you normally at? I'm at Gleniffer. We are usually the first ones on that lake in spring when the water temps are sill in the low 40s. Its a bit chilly with just a shorty. The lake stays cold for a long time due to the run off from the snow melt in the mountains. I'm looking for some spring riding that might be a bit warmer. You know, at least until Gleniffer gets into the 50s. :)

BTW, your boat is looking great!

We're on Sylvan, but our spring temps are the same as yours. He asked what the highs were, not the spring temps. Lol.
