Looking to purchase a kneeboard for my teenage son. He is into "Tricks" so I'm looking for something that will accommodate.

I have look on a lot of websites, but looking for some more insight from the MC community.

Look at the HO Joker.

I have looked at that one and it does seem to be the obvious choice.

I've actually got a hydroslide knee board that we bought last year. It's been used about 10 times total and still looks new. I don't know if it's anything special or if it'll work for what your needing but I'd sell it to free up space and help finance a new surf board.

If your interested let me know and I'll get a picture and a price for ya

Sure send a pic of it. The one I currently have is wore out.

The Joker would be your best bet great board

You can also start with your knees in and strapped doing a deep water start.

Look at the HO Joker.

The Joker is great and I may want to sell mine, the kids are gone and don't use it anymore. Its in great shape.

Try a Obrien Ricochet or a masterline ransom they are the same board. They are a glass board with a built in tow hook. Read some reviews ,a great board from beginner to the advance .

We knee boarded for years until the ole knees started to hurt from landings. The Joker is about the best pro board you can find. The thick boards were always refered to as coleman cooler lids but do help when you are starting out.

The Obrien SOZO or the Obrien Ion both boards are NEW technology built more like wakeboards have a ton of flex in them for softer landings but the sozo has a superior pad and is attached with velcro so you can fine tune the placement...there is also the Ho Agent and the Radar Denunizo that are good boards The Joker is a good board i just dont like it...also keep a lookout on craigslist and ebay the Obrien Lowrider and the Neptune trident are good boards or just about any compression molded board will be ok....stay away from Rotomold (thick plastic) boards...
