Looking for a 205V hull (205V/X1/X2) or an X9/209 for under 30k. There were a bunch listed several months ago, but it seems they've all sold or been taken off! Please help, we need our own boat before summer!!! :D

He seems ready to deal and that is a beautiful boat. I suggest you make plans for a roadtrip to Alabama

I've sent him a message and responded on his thread - LOVE the look of these 209/X9's... Does anyone have experience behind an X9? I've grown up with DD ski boats, so the engine in the middle doesn't bother me. We mostly wakeboard, wake skate, and Sky-Ski/AirChair --- haven't slalomed in years!

That's one sweet looking boat! I'd be all over that if it was within my budget. Good luck with the search.

Of course it won't be like a V-Drive, but it's a huge DD. If you sack it out properly, I'm sure you can get a decent wake out of it.

This X star looks great! Anyone else looking to sell or know of anything out there before we make some decisions? We mostly wakeboard, but have 2 small kids (1 & 3) so don't want anything with too intimidating of a wake when unweighted. Prefer V-Drive, but have grown up with DD, so comfortable with it. Thanks!

I'll sell ya a prostar well under your budget..... It's probably not what your looking for though.. That x star Neil posted is mint condition. It's on my list of boats to consider buying if I can ever get my truck sold

It was posted this summer for 30K. I am surprised it hasn't sold. You might want to get some good pictures before making the trip.

Both the Star and that X2 are nice. I really dig that X2 though.....I'd be on that like white on rice if I was still looking for that hull! Worth a look, and priced great! I bet it won't last...

Called the x2 owner, sounded like a knowledgable owner and answered the questions I could think off off the top of my head. Factory ballast and prop, front seats have been re done, rear seats showing some age and he said they he had planned to redo them this season. Winterized with rv antifreeze and fogged before putting in cave storage. Also stored with multiple damp rid containers in the boat to help with moisture. The cave it's in is one of the ones with a big dehumidifier in it. I'll be calling back to get more info as I forgot most of my questions when he answered the phone. I wasn't expecting anyone to answer actually.

That X1 in Ebay is a member's (Jessie) on this forum. It was a school's boat, high time, but he put a new re-power long block in it. Zero time on a fresh motor, for the price a nice boat...little newer than the others ('07)

There is another one on ebay today that seems pretty nice.

I wouldn't wait to long. That is a great price, and I am surprised it isn't already gone.

The yellow boat is a scam.

How do deposits work on long distance purchases? Anyone have any experience with this? How do I protect myself from the seller running off with our money? Thank you!!

I bought a car cross-border several years ago and used an escrow agency. Cost a couple hundred bucks but gave me peace of mind.

I only mentioned in one post that a nice one could be had for under $30K. He wasn't 100% serious about selling it. Several interested people from TT inquired. I met one TT'r and we carpooled to check it out. Everything just clicked with Jessie, so my cousin decided to sell his baby. I'm headed down this weekend to make sure it's in tip top shape for the trip to Ohio. Checking the trailer, lights, bearings, brakes, tires. Putting a nice gleam on the hull and detail the interior. It will be ready for Spring!!!
Congrats, enjoy the ride!! :toast:

Tracey, Jack and I will be there Fri night. Elbow greasing on Sat. Probably hit the road house on Sat night for a super healthy burger and beer. Boat is pretty clean as it sits, I want to make sure the trailer is trouble free for their trip home. If you're ready for a break from house building come on by!!
