Okay so i need some advice on which board to buy for a 225lb gorilla "myself" to wakesurf behind my prostar 190. I already have 2-400 pound sacs and 1-750 pound sac. Its not going to to throw a big wake so i need some advice on a board I can buy to just cruise on and ride with no rope.

Personally, I'd get a custom board made. I've got suggestions, if your want them. :D

Just buy a used ocean board. 5'10" + of anything thick (fun board style) would work just fine.

I was wandering too about a ocean board because the wake is so small. I think im going to try the hyperlite landlock though. After reading about it I think it will do everything I need it to do which is basically just go in a straight line. Thanks guys. Will post Video in a few weeks.

I am 260-270. I have a landlock. It is a great board. I have used it when I had my 85 sas. I was able to go rope less for a while. With not very much in the boat. It turns ok. It's no short board but it dose a good job. I would stay away from an ocean board. There is a lot more drag on an ocean board. Just a good boat board.

To the o.p. what year 190 are you trying to surf behind? I've thought about trying it behind my 90 ps190 but figured it was a waste of effort. Guess I was wrong?

I have a 2000 sportstar. Which is similar to the 94-97 prostar 190 hull.

So I thought I would do a follow up on trying to wakesurf behind prostar 190 on a landlock surfboard weighing 225. I came up with this scientific equation.

225 pound gorilla+ landlock wakesurf board+ Prostar190 = Anchor at the bottom of the ocean.

It just can not be done behind my boat at that weight. Im to cheap to buy a bigger boat so the Diet was immediately started 4 weeks ago and im now 199. I will report back again once the weather warms up. I know it can be done.

An ocean board would be your best bet.

Ever notice when the ankle waves are out you only see longboards.

Just keep the edge as much in the wave as possible.

5'10 and up and you should be able to ride till you run out of lake.

50 pounds lost down to 175, 2600 pounds of fat sac equals surfable wake on a sportstar with a hyperlite landlock.

I pulled out the back seat and put an 1100 pound fatsac there. I stacked 2 400 pound fatsacks on the side of the engine on the surfwake. Also shoved a 750 pound sac under the closed bow. 2600 pounds also makes a killer wakeboard wake too.:woohoo::woohoo:

800 pounds is not enough for a goodtime on a prostar. I was at 800 then i bought another 750 then the fun got a litttle better. Then i bought the 1100 fatsac and the party began.

What pump do you use to get all that water in without taking up so much time?

I went vegan feb 10. This is my staple meal. I would then chop it up and put it on warm corn tortillas with avocado and salsa. Growing up in Texas you eat a lot of Mexican food. I also quit eating dinner. My goal weight is 137 which puts me a BMI of 19.5. I hope to be there by august.

First off, congrats on losing all the weight, all for better surfing..LOL.

Would you mind sharing some recipes? I'd love to cut 5-10lbs. The one above looks delicious!

I missed this thread until now. Congrats on both getting a good surf wake out of a 190 and more so for dropping all the weight!

Given that the 2nd generation 205 was born from the hull of your 190 (95 - 97 Prostar 190, originally) it makes sense that you could get a decent (relatively speaking) surf wake.
