Found this cool online radio station. Classic Blues Radio on live365.com. Lots of John Lee Hooker, Lightning Hopkins, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, etc. Cool stuff. Check it out if you like the blues.

I've found the CD's to be much easier to deal with than my old 8 tracks. And the old 45 rpm record player in a box that you could carry to your friends house. Ahh, but now we've got the iPods!

Rock-n-Roll...all the way!!

Van Halen
ZZ Top
Aerosmith
Led Zepplin
AC/DC
Rush

Lots of old late 60's through 70's stuff.

Also...I love Unwritten Law. Don't know if you guys heard of them...if your my age, you might think "huh"? But they have some great stuff...I love "Get Up" and "Walrus" from their last album (Here's to the Mourning), and "Geronimo" and "Sound Siren" (from Elva).

This is going to sound silly but those with kids are going to love this!

I just picked-up a couple new CD's from Wal-Mart. "Rockabye Baby Lullaby Renditions of U2" and "Rockabye Baby Lullaby Renditions of Cold Play."
They are very good! I found something that I can tolerate in the car with the son.

Check them out...

If you click on the album you can listen to samples from each CD. Oh and Wal-Mart had them for $13.98 each, not hte $16.98 like on the website.

JKT- I gave up on commercial radio about 25 years ago. Until recently, I listened to a local college station (www.wmse.org) and now spend most of my listening time with XM. They're playing 'Happy The Man', recorded live in their studio right now and I don't remember hearing more than a few of their songs in my whole life before this. If you like Prog rock, check them out. Also, for more Prog, WMSE has a show on Sunday nights at 9 PM, hosted by Mark Krueger and you can stream their archived shows if you have high speed.

I'm a happy camper, now that I have XM. My musical tastes are NOT common.

I do have XM in the car, but mostly spend my time surfing for something good to listen to. Channel 24 is pretty good for older music, and 66-68 if you like rap. Other than that, not too many channels stick out in my mind for XM. If you want to hear all of the "new" crappy music, tune into Channel 20, they play the new hits on repeat. I will listen to the Monsters in the morning if I am going to be in the car for an 1+ hours. Oh well...

which XM unit are you guys using?

I have an Inno for my Truck/Gym and got my wife a Roady XT for her car and the house.

wish Apple and XM would get together and make I-pod/XM

Ch 40 (Deep Tracks) for the older rock you listed, There's a Willie channel, I have heard Robert Earl Keen on one of the country channels, (Country X?) and I don't do Rap or Hip-Hop so I can't help ya there.
